Dr. Leah Hollon, ND, MPH – Autoimmune, Hormones, MTHFR Gene Mutations, Naturopathic Cancer Support
Co-owner of Richmond Natural Medicine (RNM), Dr. Leah Hollon became fascinated by the intricacy of the body and the interconnection of the mind, body and spirit at a young age. While pursing her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and Master in Public Health from VCU School of Medicine, Dr. Hollon realized something was missing. People with chronic illnesses were not really getting better, and little was being done within the general population to truly prevent many diseases. Prevention was often not occurring until there was a diagnosis. Thus she began searching for the most optimal healthcare model of prevention and healing. When an MD friend introduced her to naturopathic medicine, immediately she realized that she had found her life passion.
Dr. Hollon completed her naturopathic medical degree and residency training in primary care at the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR. She has practiced within indigent clinics such as drug court, National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) and a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC), in the world of academia instructing medical and pharmacy interns and courses in integrative medicine, gastroenterology, women’s medicine and clinical exam skills.
