The Apple Cart provides resources and advocacy for the culinary entrepreneur, experience-based lessons, and strategies for a profitable business. Barb Upchurch and Stephanie Ganz combine their passions for enterprise development and real-world experience in the industry to provide services that meet the specific needs of today’s culinary business owner.
Crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Kiva and others can help entrepreneurs utilize their personal and professional networks to raise capital for business development and creative projects. Crowdfunding activities can also allow business owners to attract positive PR and even develop a national following for their brand. This workshop will address the pros and cons of the top crowdfunding applications and examine best practices and innovative strategies to creating a successful project, while learning how to manage reward fulfillment and new customer relationships once you’ve met your goal.
