Join us for an evening of food and conversation benefiting Slow Food RVA! We are partnering with Slow Food RVA to host a Farm to Table dinner, with Slow Food RVA providing the entire 3 course dinner through their various partner farms and our own chefs preparing it.
Slow Food RVA is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization which works collaboratively to champion the local foods of central Virginia and their sources, producers and historical traditions. They welcome volunteers of all ages, skills and backgrounds to join them in developing and staging their programs. Learn more about their programs and volunteer opportunities here.
Check out the menu here. Vegan and gluten-free options are available, and the menu is subject to change due availability of fresh, local ingredients.
We are pleased to announce that Natural Organic Process Enterprises (NOPE) will compost the dinner’s food scraps, making this a zero-waste event!
NOPE is proud to have functionally closed the loop of the food cycle (grower-> consumer->compost) through our compost credit program which supplies locally made compost to local agricultural non-profits and urban gardens. (NOPE has worked with the Lewis Ginter and The City of Richmond to name a couple)
NOPE is excited to announce that they currently developing a plan for a residential collection service using bicycles as a mode of transportation. Program participants would accrue points redeemable for compost for growing season or for donation.
*Includes 3-course meal and two glasses of local wine. Cash bar for additional glasses.
