Tami Schoepflin RD, CDE

Tami is Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with 25 years experience teaching Diabetes Management. She has worked in dialysis, an endocrine office, and as an inpatient and outpatient dietitian in several Richmond Hospitals.  Is also a CPT (Certified Insulin Pump Trainer).  Her current role is as Diabetes Educator for NovoNordisk’s Diabetes Education Program, a community-based diabetes program.

Description

The Diabetes Academy is here to help you learn about managing your diabetes. The class includes basic diabetes definitions, such as Type 1 vs Type 2 diabetes, nutrition for diabetes management, the importance of testing your blood sugars, the role of exercise, and how oral medications and insulin function.
