It's the Season for Greens!

As summer comes to and end and the harvest moon begins it’s cycle, the weather is starting to get a little bit cooler (with the exception for this week) and the time for fall and winter greens begins to peak. Southside Skateboarding Project

Our buddy Donovan Greer, along with friends, have helped turn a nearly abandoned tennis court on Southside into a widely skatepark enjoyed by skaters, bikers, kids and parents. However the City of Richmond doesn’t see this as a good thing. Click here to watch the NBC 12 report on the skatepark. If you’ve never been to the park, it’s located on 28th Street  in Southside. With the help of friends, Donovan has created the Southside Skateboarding Project to help raise awareness and money to keep the park alive.

What can you do to help? This Sunday, Sept. 26th at Bellytimber Tavern (1501 W. Main Street) there will be a benefit art auction with all proceeds going towards the project. Come out from 8pm-Midnight for great food, drinks and the chance to help out a great cause.
