Just In: First Local Apples of the Season!

OH MAN are we stoked about this! We just got in a couple of crates of Henely Orchard Local Apples! These are the FIRST local apples of the season and due to this crazy weather, they’re just a bit sweeter than your typical Granny Smith, which in our opinion, is delicious! Henely Orchard is just 90 miles away from us in King William County, VA. Right now, these local gems are just $1.49/lb.

Truck Farm Wins!

We posted on the Truck Farm a while ago, and we just found out that Truck Farm is the winner of Nau’s annual Grant for Change. $10,000 was rewarded to Curt Ellis and Ian Cheney. Their project, Truck Farm, is exactly what it sounds like—a 1986 Dodge pickup truck converted to house a traveling farm that boasts heirloom seeds and green-roof technology.
